Everyday honest, hardworking cops are fired and sometimes prosecuted for doing their jobs!!!  When will this injustice end?  The biased news media is always willing to jump on the band-wagon to derail officers' careers.   Why don't they ever cover stories about heroic acts that officers do each and every day?  If this situation continues, there will be so few good coppers left that crime will rise new heights. I share your outrage and sympathy.  Gratefully yours.

I have lived in Detroit for most of my life and grew up surrounded by neighbors who were civil servants.  Many of my friends have chosen to become Detroit Police Officers.  I remained neutral in my opinion of the death of Malice Green and the convictions of you all.  But now I am a college student researching this case for a term paper.  I am absolutely, positively DIGUSTED at the injustice you all have endured.  The job that is performed by police officers is an incredibly challenging one and is often thankless and unappreciated.  The police is the last line of defense against terrible atrocities that occur daily in our city.   What happened on the infamous night was both of you doing your job.  I feel that doing your job was the only thing that you all are guilty of.  The DPD and prosecutor are guilty of a heinous crime, turning against their own.  Now, I know why Detroit is fallen to such pieces.  God Bless, both of you!  My prayers are with you.

Regarding a book about this case: I know I would purchase the book.  In fact, I have been looking for books about this very case!  Just wanted to comment also that the fate these officers faced is a very realistic scenario that could victimize any other officer in this country.  The rationale and objectivity that is supposed to be in our nation's courts have given way to something else.  Personally, I believe these DPD officers were railroaded and are victims of racism and gross injustice.  This seems to be a growing trend in our nation.  Police officers are being tried for murder in seemingly justified deadly force situations.  Especially in interracial type deadly force incidents involving police.  One of the newest victims of this trend can be seen at the following web site: http://members.aol.com/copsupport

Nevertheless, I hope the officers hang in there.  And I hope they'll get their day of justice soon.   Somehow, someway, things have got to turn around...for us all.  Thanks.

It does appear that the 2 cops had it put to them.  It just goes to show you that NOBODY is guaranteed justice in this country.  Some people want revenge for something nobody alive today did to their dead relatives.

He should be out o jail forever.  I wish Walter and Larry every success.  I hope they beat all of this bull. When cops have to go to jail for protecting the citizens of the area....it is a sad state of affairs.  I am sick of all of the racial innuendos.  I read in the Detroit News last week that a construction worker (white) stopped at a McDonald's in a black neighborhood, and was denied service, and had to endure some racial slurs....somewhere in the area of Grand River and Greenfield.  Check out that story.  It seems okay these days for blacks to cry racial issues, but not for a white person.  I WISH this guy every success.  He is sueing for millions, and I for one, will wish him every success.   The blacks always cry out discrimination, and get mercy from everywhere.  Here is a WHITE GUY THAT WAS THE BRUNT OF RACIAL DISCRIMNATION..... the blacks do just what they accuse us of doing.  I have been pretty tolerant so far of racial issues....but not anymore.

I would like to say I am behind you all the way and like DPO Fitzgerald is quoted as saying, it is about right vs. wrong.  In our world as cops there are no colors or races.  We are all blue.  We never know who may save our life.  And we all know if you are one of us we will back you no matter what your race.  Now the same goes for the perps.  If you are a bad guy so to speak, your race doesn't matter.  The fact that you committed a crime is all that matters.   But the public and the media always wants to make it a race issue.  Why?   Because that is what sells in the news stand.  I am with you my brothers.   Be strong and good luck.

I was going into law enforcement years ago until a near fatal motorcycle accident changed all that but, I was involved as an Aux. officer for a while though.  I have to say that reading the news regarding officers Nevers and Budzyn are absolutely horrific!  From the statements the officers gave (fallen on deaf ears) to the lack of support from their fellow officers and the evidence (truthful that is) that finally surfaced showing that the medical examiner said the death was caused by drugs, alcohol and a fit of rage were the cause and not blunt trauma.  Where is the justice we are so afforded as American citizens?  I thought we were "innocent 'til proven guilty". These officers should be praised for their quick action and also avoiding the possibility of an officer being taken down with his own weapon by the perpetrator.  the words are true: JUSTICE IS BLIND!

As a Police Officer, and human being I am sickened by the treatment of Larry Nevers and Walter Budzyn.  I cannot believe that a travesty of justice of this scale was tolerated, yet it obviously was.  When a nation begins to allow the degridation of its laws, and justice system to avoid minor, or even wide scale disention, that nation has truly collasped, and has begun a long desent into oblivion.   I fought, bled, and watched as good young men died to defend our constitution and way of life, because they thought it was right.  Was their sacrifice given in vain?   Before I'd read about Larry Nevers and Walter Budzyn, I would have said, "Hell No!!!", and would have gladly given my life to the same end.  Now I'm asking myself if I was more than a little naive.  Larry Nevers and Walter Budzyn, I wish you fair weather and following seas, God bless you both.  Never allow theinjustice of your condition, or the opinions of your enemies to sway you, or your stand from the morally right!

Drugs are the downfall of today's society.  All of the working class tax paying people should be appaulding.  I for one am sick and tired of these hoodlums taking over society with their drug selling.  I have seen my neighborhood slowly deteriorate right before my eyes.  I have had to rush my daughter to the hospital because of a drug overdose.  From that day on I made it my mission to report suspicious activity in my community.  Doesn't anyone realize that drugs do not discriminate.  The officers involved in this case should be commended for risking their lives to make society a safer place to live.  I hope enough publicity is generated to overturn this travesty of justice.

Hello, you probably know who I am.  I am on the mailing list.  I am hoping to become a police officer when I am 18 (16 now).  Even with everything that is going on I still want to continue persuing law enforcement.  In the past few months several officers have been forced to fire their weapons to save their life and t lives of others.  I have written a poem dedicated to those officers.   I decided to send this because Larry Nevers and Walt Budzyn know this all too well.   There are a few differences.  A few are that these officers were not wrongly accused of killing, but were wrongly accused of murdering.  I guess I am starting to get off the subject, so I guess I will just type the poem.

P.S. I guess I should explain the sentence "they were not wrongly accused of killing them, but were wrongly accused of murdering them.  You see, to me murder and a killing is different.  To me a murder is a killing in a harsh way to someone who does not deserve it.  In Baltimore they do not like the police at all.  They expect the police to let someone shoot them and not fight back.  It is probably the same way over there.  I guess with having two parents who are Baltimore City police Officers, and several other family members who are with different departments, I know what they go through. Well I will let you go. Bye, Take care, Hope everything turns out okay.

"An Officer's Real Life Nightmare"

We heard those words,But it didn't seem quite right. who were they to say, Who was wrong and who was right?

Where were they, On that hot and frightful day? Where were they When the officer was forced to make that choice?

Did anyone ever think, Of the pain the officer is feeling, Or did anyone notice the fear in his eyes, When he knew he had to pull the trigger?

Instead of sympathy. Instead of support. All the officer recieved Was grief from all.

Noone ever thinks Of the fear officers face each and everyday. Noone ever thinks That each day may be an officer's last.

The day an officer gets respect Is the day he lies in a flag draped casket.  And on that day, the members of the team in blue, Will think of how one day that could be them.

I have always believed you reap what you sow.  In this case, this once great nation has decided to wage war against her peacekeepers.  As the insidious corruption seeps from the White House, oozes from our deceased "4th Estate" and all of our once cherished institutions have been dynamited, and our societal mores vanish in the wind, I tremble for our future.  My department is having a very hard time recruiting individuals for the job.  The ones they are ending up with have no previous true job experience, and no understanding of human nature.  Our administration tells them to sally forth and swing your weight around, but of course they won't back anyone.  I always believed you have had to have a "calling" for this job, in order to survive in one piece, and still care. Oh well....

Thank you for your e-mail.  As a police officer myself, it has been more than a tragedy when our society became legally politically correct to the point that our inept, dysfunctional legal system has turned to over charging and over prosecuting police officers just to sooth a small criminal element in our society for fear of sparking riots. The other day, the news rag TV shows were consistent in showing supposedly corrupt, brutal and crooked cops.  Hollywood and the pathetic main stream media has been harping along a similar line for years.  I never thought I would ever regret the day I so proudly took the oath, and the many subsequent years of dedicated, dangerous service to my city, but time changes all.  Keep up the fight, and God bless you for caring.  I wish the best for Larry and Walter.

You guys lived through all other cops' nightmares...racial issues are always a hot issue, and policing is not always as glamorous as Hollywood would make it seem like, no wonder so many cops go through burn outs.

When something like this happens, you then realize that the people you work for, the city you try to protect are just out to get you.  That's why all us men and women in blue walking the streets must stick together.

We wish you guys the best of luck and please don't give up.  We are praying for this nightmare to be over.

God bless both of you.  It's a sin when society chooses to make war against its peace keepers.  They will reap what they sow.  My department and many others across the country are having a hard time recruiting and getting truly qualified candidates.  I wonder why?  All the sacrifices that we have undergone, the endless back stabbing that emanates from our own administrations, and to be faced with imprisonment for political motivations sickens me.

I have just finished reading your extensive coverage regarding Larry Nevers and Walter Budzyn.  As a fellow officer, I am filled with surprise and dismay at the way these officers were treated by the judiciary and the media.  While 'Trial by Media' is common throughout the world, especially in relation to alleged police brutality, we often dismiss such reporting as sensationalism for the sake of ratings, but we do expect the justice system to be level headed and view complaints against police in a detached, unbiased and serious manner.  From what I have read I am obviously mistaken.  Even if the events of the time did colour people's sentiments, the officers were entitled to a fair trial, but it appears expediency was the order of the day.  Any faith in the inevitable appeals process was further shattered.  As an outsider in this matter, I, like many others, ask, 'Where's the justice?'  If the job was not hard enough already, it is certainly going to be a lot harder when the establishment you are serving is quick to condemn.  I am heartened by Larry's release and hope that Walt's appeal against his 'amended conviction' is successful.  My thoughts are with them and hope that truth will prevail.  South Australia.

What can municipalities and police unions do to protect their employees against false, untrue, and retaliating complaints against police and false lawsuits?  And it seems nowadays that Internal Affairs is just receiving many untrue complaints against police, going out doing interviews, and letting the chips fall were they may.  There seems to be no real investigative skills being applied to fact finding, but they are only trying to confirm untrue accusations.

I am so sorry for what happened to you guys.  I am only 16, but I know the injustice that goes on.  I live in Baltimore City and while the city has a major problem with race, the difference of the racism is that it is not against who they say.  We have had several officers fired for drawing their weapons when the suspect had a weapon.  To make matters worse, the officers are becoming afraid to draw their weapons because the commish does not take up for them.  Our mayor of I think 8 years has put the police department into the ground. Whenever a police officer shoots, the mayor says that it was the police that was wrong.  Must I add our major is black?  He even chose the South African colors for his campaign.  Places in the city do not even fly the American flag.  I mean this is several places.  I can't walk down the street without hearing some kind of racist remark.  THIS IS EVERYDAY!!!  I've been chased several times and once I've actually been beat up.   The reason was because I was white.  My dad is a Baltimore City police officer and I worry about him everynight.  Not only do I worry because he is white, but my dad is one who will not wear his vest.  GOOD LUCK!!!  There are people who are behind you even when it seems like there is no one.

I read the information in this case with disbelief.  I can not in any way reasonably understand how these officers could have faced this type of injustice.  The convictions handed down by the courts is mind numbing.  In today's society a police officer is always guilty until proven innocent.  The judges in this case would have to be blind, or politically forced to be, to even consider the type of action taken against these officers.  I think of a quote that is not to be taken lightly: "A society that makes war against its police, had better learn to live with its criminals".  This incident was obviously not racially motivated by the officers but, however was racial in nature to those men and women that condemned the officers.  I have always been told that it is better to be tried by twelve than carried by six.  I feel that there is definately an argument, NOW, to be made in regards to that statement.  I am so appalled by the treatment of these officers that it has nearly brought me to the belief that they would have been better off to have been carried by six.  At least in the end they would receive a fair and totally impartial judgment.  I can't help but wonder what type of trial the suspect would have received had he succeeded in the attempt to gain control of the officer's weapon and ultimately used that weapon to take their lives.  I don't think he would have been treated with the same injustice that they received.  There is much more that could be said about this RAILROADING.  I'm positive that in the future some other dedicated officers will have to face the same type of injustice before anything will be done to see that this doesn't have to happen again.

I want to start by saying that I am appalled by your department's behavior.  This is totally unacceptable!  I cannot believe that your chief and mayor were so chicken and yellow bellied as not to back up you in a lawful attempt to make an arrest.  Your fourth amendment rights have been totally violated, to say the least.  I assume that you all have lawyers and are going to sue the city of Detroit.  I cannot begin to tell you how disgusted I am.  It is getting to be more and more a criminal's world out here.  Whatever happened to respect for police officers?  Are we just supposed to lay down and let the bad guys run the city?   I know one thing for sure,  I'm not.  They are going to have to pry my badge from my cold, dead fingers before I give it up!  Keep fighting and keep praying, for I know justice will prevail!

I followed both trials very closely, the original and Budzyn's retrial.  I agree that neither should have been convicted of 2nd degree murder.   On the Doctor thing, we both know that "expert" witnesses say whatever the client wants them to say.  I agree that Green was a "Bad Actor" and needed to get arrested.  Whether the "Beating" was the direct cause of his death is not the point.  In my opinion, excessive force was used in the apprehension.   I don't buy the self defense theory.  Bottom line?  I don't think either Budzyn or Nevers should spend another minute in prison, they were doing their jobs.   In my opinion, (everybody is entitled to one) Mr. Nevers has more responsibility in this one than Mr. Budzyn.  I hope things work out well for Mr. Nevers.  I don't want to see him back in prison any more than you do.

(followup letter from the same writer): On the other hand, your arguments are very strong, it appears that I have attached too much of my personal feelings to this.  Based on what you just told me, I'm thinking that my original opinion was completely wrong.  Sorry for offending you.   Take care.

Mr. Budzyn and Mr. Nevers are innocent victims of our troubled social systems.  Our state and national governments have selected the human rites of many white American males for disposal in the name of multicultural appeasement.   Unfortunately the police, who comprise some  the most loyal and dedicated citizens in our country, are all too often put on this chopping block.  The State and local police officers of this country, if of European ancestory, are being stripped of their abilities to enforce the law when faced with a criminal of African descent.   Why are some African Americans convinced that they are second class citizens in this country?  Where are the constant complaints of racism from Jews, Arabs, Hispanics, and Asians?  Our country is the most cohesive melting pot in the world.   We are all Americans.  It is time for ALL racism to end.  It is time to let our police do their job.  It is time to free Larry Nevers and Walter Budzyn

I was born in Florida.  Been in this area for 67 years.  I think I carry a little bit of weight around here.  When customers come in no one ever goes away without my voiced opinion about Budzyn and Nevers and the R.O. cops.  You know I don't have to like my cops, but I'm going to stand up for them.  When my kids were little and got hurt or when my husband had an emergency, and when I was hurt real bad, my cops were right there.  They are not only protecters, but they are caregivers.

I have, for the last 2 hours, read one of the most disgusting travesties of justice that I have ever come across.  Having served 26 years as a police officer, this is the worst case of "scape goating" I've ever seen.  In reading, I notice that the EMS personnel testimony leaves a lot of gray area.  Did these people administer some type of drug in their ROLE PLAYING of Dr. that could have contributed to this guy's death?  I am sure that the drugs were available to them.  A records check of the drug box might reveal that something was missing when they restocked the kit.
Best of luck to both of you!

It has become a sad fact that out of fear of another L.A. riot situation, that our justice system is involved in reverse discrimination.  I am neither a police officer nor a member of any law enforcement/government agency.  I have had both good and bad contacts with street officers.  But I feel that our society is punishing innocent people (police and citizens alike) in the name of "civil rights".   Because of the actions of a very small minority, the criminal has more rights than the victim, and a whole bunch more rights than those sworn to protect the innocent.
I am sure you will agree that there are bad cops in any department, just as there are bad doctors and lawyers.  However I don't feel that either of you fall into that category.  From what I have read of the incident, the arrest was justified, and was reasonable, but the reaction of elected and appointed officials was not.  In my opinion, you both were convicted hours after the incident.
Please remember:  They can convict your body, but your mind and soul will be innocent.

I would not have become the highly decorated officer I am, if I had not been taught by Wally and Larry and other exemplary officers like them. Wally and Larry have suffered enough.  Returning Walt to prison will benefit no one.

I have been watching and reading most of everything since the beginning of this ordeal.  My sympathy is with you guys.  I wish I could contribute to your fund, but with three kids of my own, that is impossible.  I sure hope there is light at the end of the tunnel for you guys real soon.

I am truly disgusted with this case.  I was in the Army when everything took place, but I followed the progress, or lack thereof, of the case.   When these two officers were convicted, I was in my second phase of training after basic.  I spoke often of this cae and realized that I was in the wrong crowd.  I am a white female and the majority of the people I was training with were minorities that felt that the time had come to turn the tables on corrupt police officers.  I was and still am, disturbed by the negativityf police officers with the minority.  I grew up in a family with a father and uncle in the police force.  Needless to say, I was taught at an early age the danger officers face day in and day out.  I feel that many minorities lack this respect for police officers because they come from low income single family homes.  They are subjected to police interactions on a more regular basis because they hang out on street corners, are truant from school, and have a blatent disrespect for authority.  Parents do not instill respect in their kids, they teach them that the police are out to "get" them.  I am taking a juvenile justice class right now and am surprised by the talk in the classrooms about how these up and coming officers are going to change the corrupt system.  I am certain that as soon as they get into the field, they will see that it was not corrupt to bgin with, that they were actually seeing a lifestyle that was in actuality illegal, but since they grew up around it, they feel as though there was nothing wrong.  There are many people in Detroit with these same feelings, and my heart goes out to these officers that put their lives on the line every day and then someone like Malice Green comes along and ruins everything.  I am equally disgusted that the peole in Detroit would memorialize this person on a wall for everyone to see.  He WAS and still would be a criminal!!!!!   Children in the city of Detroit are going to see this and get the wrong impression!   Malice Green was and should not be a role model for our futue youth.  Malice was doing nothing, but living up to his name.

I didn't get to see the first trial, but the second one caught my attention.  I believe the officers had a job to do and that's what they did.  My ex-husband was a police officer, and got caught up in an incident, not as bad, but never the less, it cost him his job.  He had been a police officer for 19 years.   After hearing and reading about the second trial, I can't see where the officers did anything wrong.  I was less than pleased with the verdict, don't people understand that cops don't show emotion?

Maybe I'm a little Theory X, but I think there is some "crookedness" in all of us.  That's just the human condition.  We're all sinners, aren't we?  However, in the case of Larry Nevers, wasn't there a serious medical finding that the most probable cause of St. Green's death was cocaine?  It seems to me that Nevers, like Budzyn, was only guilty of doing his job.

A very sad day indeed...I must be losing my hearing...I thought I heard all the evidence in Wally's favor...and what the hell were his lawyers thinking in putting all the blame on Larry?  His trial, for all intents and purposes, doesn't even need to be held...He is already guilty again in the eyes of the defense team of Wally's and the potential jurors...I pray that the appeal is successful.

This is to Larry Nevers and Walter Budzyn:  I am a young police officer and have been following your story since 1992.  Not only am I outraged by the verdicts in 1992 and 1998, but I now have a better understanding of how the public views the police.  I feel the same way you two gentlemen fee., you both were found guilty of crimes that you didn't commit.  Nor did you commit any crime.  This is just a quick mail to let both of you know you are in my prayers and I am attempting to collect some money for your legal needs.  Try to keep your heads held high and good luck gentlemen.  both of you have bee a positive example not only to me, but other "coppers" out here trying to do the same job you do.

Ever wonder why Rebone and all her fine, credible friends didn't help out St. Malice as he was allegedly getting murdered to further the interests of white racism?   One would think they would have been p.o.'ed enough to help their good friend if they saw him being murdered.  I mean, after all, wasn't it a whole pack of lowlifes against only two cops who already had their hands quite full?  When the other cops arrived, they didn't seem to think they were observing a murder, or they would have taken steps to stop it.

I am shocked about the verdict.  I thought for sure it would have been not guilty on all counts and they went by the law.  It saddens me to see the shape that someone can end up in after so many years of service to their country and city.   My husband and I send our condolences to all those involved, again, for this unjust verdict.

This quote from a Budzyn juror should be enough in itself to show that the jury didn't follow the judges rules, and that Walter should have a new trial, based on the stuff that Baker was allowed to let the jury see and hear.  She said Budzyn was guilty of letting the beating go on.  "We felt like he could have tried to stop it.  There was a time when he could have done something."

note: Judge Jackson told jurors just prior to deliberations that they could NOT convict Walter for "failure to act."

I was fortunate to see the verdict on the noon news, yes I was disappointed in what I heard.  These officers were just doing their job.  These people just can't see that.  But the worst is yet to come.  I can almost guarantee that Larry Nevers will for sure be convicted of murder now.  If these people found Walter guilty of this, they will fry Nevers.  I hope the people of Detroit are satisfied that when they need the police in the future and they don't respond over fear of this type of reprisal, they get the message loud and clear.

Isn't it a shame that a jury of his peers believed a group of witnesses who choose to break the law every day of their lives with their lifestyles, and yet did not believe a man who had an exemplary record with the Detroit Police Department.  A sad day indeed.

And to all those people who keep saying Walt is emotionless and stoic - I saw the verdict today - and I saw his face close up - I saw fear, sadness and disappointment - not lack of remorse.

We're still with you, Walt - and we believe in you.

I just heard the news on the radio about Walt.  It's sad.  I read in the Free Press the requirements necessary for conviction on each level of charge.   I just don't see how there could be so much certainty on the jury's part to allow conviction of even the lower charge, much less the higher charge.

Somehow I can't believe that jurors don't hear about cases and are influenced outside the jury room.  I wonder how this jury is protected from jury tampering by militants in the community.  It's amazing tome that there was not a change in venue, and even more amazing that the jury was not sequestered for the trial.

I just wanted to say I have been following Walter Budzyn's new trial.   I believe the incident happened just the way he said according to the evidence I have heard.  I do also believe that there was some sort of conspiracy within the police department.  As far as Teresa Pace goes she is a liar and changed her story several times.  I also think she was paid off for her testimony against Officer Budzyn.  At first I thought this is just another case of the cops versus the street people.  But after hearing the evidence, I have changed my mind.  I am behind Officer Budzyn all the way and will be watching Court TV for the verdict.   Good luck to you sir.

The media fried both men right from the start.  It's a real shame when the news media decides a man's guilt or innocence.  As far as I'm concerned, these men have been free of any wrong doing from the start.  the minute I heard about this incident on T.V., with Mayor Young condeming them I told everyone that they didn't have to conduct a trial because they had already been tried.  In my eyes these men were doing their duty.  I keep them both in my prayers.

I just can't understand how jurors selected from Wayne County as a whole cannot see right through the lynch mob mentality that permeated the original trial, and which is being resurrected by Doug Baker.  The media are obviously influenced by the people who own and/or control them.  I can only pray that the testimony and evidence ar reviewed in the light of common sense, which unfortunately must be an uncommon commodity when people sympathize with a nogoodnik such as St. Malice Aforethought of Green.

Having worked in the law enforcement sector, I must tell you that having applied pressure point tactics to hundreds of crack users, these tactics seldom work on someone with crack cocaine in their system.  Please try to locate an authorized instructor of these tactics to testify to the jury, the truth about pressure points and their effects on drug users, particularly crack cocaine users.  thank you and my prayers are with you all.

Did the mother of Malice Green not know long ago that her son would meet his fate sooner or later?  Was she not aware of his occupation?  Come on now.   How many lives did he leave messed up in his path?  Here we have 2 men who dedicated their lives to the city of Detroit to make our streets safe and along comes the lord himself who is a menace to society and has his picture on the wall.  Pray tell how are they explaining this to the small children?  This is how you become a hero?   Are they ready to name a street after this man or a PARK?  HEY WE COULD REALLY USE ANOTHER HOLIDAY!  We have had many small children die this past year in the city from bombings and shootings and I don't blame them?  I say get some of that money back.  That the city was so quick to give out.  Those lawyers smiled all the way to the bank and here we are having fundraisers to try to defend our policemen who were doing their duty as law abiding citizens...

We received a letter concerning the Nevers-Budzyn vs. Detroit incident in 1992.  We had never heard of this case or incident, and I cautioned my wife to check out the validity before sending money.  I sat down tonight and did some searching on the Internet in the Detroit Free Press on articles concerning this case.  I'm APPALLED at what I've learned.  This, to me, is clearly a case of injustice.  I agree that both officers were offered up as "sacrificial lambs" to appease the black community.  It's past time that we stand up and voice our opinion on the "politically correct" handling of blacks.  You can count on our support.   Even though it's not much, your families deserve the support of those who care.   Keep up your vigil.

Larry and Walter,
My wife Sandy and I were shocked and appalled by the original verdict against you; obviously there were many errors in the way your "trial" was conducted.  We applaud the courage of a judge to reverse this gross miscarriage of justice.  We admire the courage of you and your family during this unbelievably trying time for both of you.  Never forget that you have the majority of the people on your side and we will not rest until you are both cleared of this unjust verdict against you.  Thank God for Mark Scott at radio station WXYT (1270AM) in Detroit who kept this story alive and let us know what we could do to help.  Our prayers are with you and your family; we will continue to do all we can to help get this unjust verdict reversed.
God bless you.
